Luminous Forms combines sculptural practice with an emphasis on materiality and process to explore how humans interact and relate to everyday objects.

Luminous Forms illustrates both the commonness of objects we interact with daily, such as the lamps which illuminate our lives, and the abundance of plant life even in the winter, when the landscape turns brown and crisp. By drawing attention to these materials in their decaying state, Erin Lucey shares the beauty and resolve of plant life in her direct ecosystem while encouraging viewers to spend more time considering their direct surroundings, both in nature and in their homes and indoor spaces.
